Scooter Carrier
Phat Scooters® uses VersaHaul scooter carriers. You will need to have a trailer hitch on your vehicle in order for it to function. Once you purchase the carrier, it will be drop-shipped to the address you provide.
On the single carrier, the tray closest to the bumper is a ramp to load the scooter. It will not carry another scooter.
You will want to follow the assembly instructions that come with your carrier from Versahaul. For a step-by-step instruction on how to use the carrier with your Phat Scooter, please see below. For video instruction on use of your carrier, follow this link: https://vimeo.com/245988003.
- Remove the locking pin on the ramp.
- Lift off and move to the side of the ramp. Line up the tabs on the end of the ramp with the notches on the carrier rail.
- Line up your tire with the ramp and roll the scooter up.
- Stop once the tire hits the stabilizing piece.
- Strap your scooter down. Be sure to place straps on the handlebars themselves, not the wiring.
- Use one strap for each side of the handlebars.
- The rear strap gets placed between the tire and rear fender.
- Check all straps to ensure they are snug and secure any excess strap.
- Remove the ramp and slide it between the straps and secure it back on brackets and replace the locking pin.
